Sprite RSVP Event

In February 2020 we got the opportunity to team up with Sprite to commemorate the launch of “Sprite Ginger” with a very unique re-workshop hosted by us at Extra Butter in NYC.

The class consisted of a crash course in footwear making, attendees got the chance to rip apart an old Air Jordan 1 upper, seeing first hand where/ how the pieces of the shoes sit. We then walked everyone through how to lay the deconstructed shoe flat and subsequently trace and cut out their own Jordan 1 pattern.

At the classes opening, we were joined by streetwear legend Jeff Staple who joined us in giving a brief 20-minute conversation about our starts in footwear/ fashion and how the obstacles you encounter are always just minor hurdles.

Sprite additionally commissioned us to craft a single pair of Air Jordan 1s from napa leather and stingray that were raffled off to a lucky attendee at the class’s conclusion.
